I have tried setting my Seattle University email to my iPhone but it always has a reason for it to not work.. I know little about how to use it so if you could help me that would be great!! I know there are something you need under the incoming and outgoing but I don’t know what to use. Please Help!!
From what I can find, you will need to enter the following information in your e-mail setup:
Set mail server type to: IMAP
Set outgoing server (SMTP) to : owa.seattleu.edu
Set incoming server (IMAP) to : owa.seattleu.edu
You will need your username, which is the first part of your email address, ie [username]@seattleu.edu, and you will need your password.
That should get it going. If not, there may be some more setting you need to add, such as port number. Here is a web site that shows all settings: http://www.law.seattleu.edu/Office_and_Administration/Technology/Help_Desk/Configuring_E-mail.xml
The example the site shows is for MS Outlook, but the setting are all the same no mater what email client you use. There is a possibility that Seattle U’s mail system will not work with the iPhone mail client, but you should check will someone in the computer department or administration if those settings don’t work just to be sure.
