I wish libraries were all about integrating the information they have into the web in useful ways. For example, wouldn’t it be nice if they could come up with an addressing scheme, like URIs, for incorporating meta-information created by librarians into web protocols that allowed sophisticated knowledge engines, like WolframAlpha to use it?

In this way, librarians could make a map of all knowledge in the form of a web of nodes linked together in all the ways most useful to the explorers.
