Is the University of Phoenix in the Education Directory: Colleges and Universities as published by the Superintendent of Documents, Washington, D.C.?
it has regional accreditation through the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and other accreditations for several (but not all) of its programs. It does not seem to have national accreditation.
For access to the Education Directory: Colleges and Universities, call a library reference desk and ask if it’s listed there.
It is basically a proprietary school, and not a respected name. However, it is a member of the Colleg Board.

I wouldn’t go to a school that sends me spam all the time.

I actually considered them once. I gave them a call and after doing a little research I told them I was not longer interested….gosh….they DO know how to harass people. That was a year ago and I’m still getting phone calls and emails.

UoP is fully accredited. this means that they can accept federal FA.
they do tend to be rather aggressive in recruiting. Whether or not they are in some directory or not is a simple matter of looking it up
